The makers of Varun Dhawan starrer 'Judwaa 2' have made it known that Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu will play the leading ladies in the film. The film, a sequel to Salman Khan starrer 'Judwaa', will be helmed by Varun's father and ace filmmaker David Dhawan and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The makers have begun shooting for the film, and have already completed shooting a song. However, Jacqueline had never watched the 'Judwaa' until she was approached for its sequel. While the actress too has begun shooting for the film, talking to a leading tabloid, she candidly admits, "It's embarrassing, but I hadn't watched the original film (1997) until Sajid offered me the sequel. But after watching the film, I was sure the shoot is going to be one helluva ride. I am really looking forward to dancing to the tunes of 'Tan Tana Tan' and 'Oonchi Hai Building' [chartbusters from 'Judwaa'].
When asked if she turned to Salman as the actor had played a double role in the original, Jacqueline added, "It is nice that he is going to be around for any advice that we need to make this film a big hit like the first one. Varun [Dhawan] steps into Salman's shoes and that's a big task. But with Salman around, I am sure we don't have to worry about anything."
Well, Jacqueline has always maintained that Salman has been supportive of the actress. Since 'Judwaa' was a successful film, there is immense pressure on the makers to outdo the original. While the audience is eagerly waiting to see how the sequel turns out to be, the film is slated to release on 29th September.
