Post the roaring success of 'Sultan', director Ali Abbas Zafar is busy prepping for his next film, 'Tiger Zinda Hai' with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. However, there have been reports that post 'Tiger Zinda Hai', the director-actor duo will collaborate again for the remake of a South Korean film, 'Ode to My Father'.
While the director chose not to divulge much information regarding the remake, in a conversation with PT, he said, "It’s too early to speak about it ('Ode to My Father'). First, I am going to start ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ next month. That’s my next film. I am excited about teaming up with Salman again. It is always great to work with him.”
Directed by Yoon Je-kyoon, 'Ode to My Father' is a 2014 Korean history drama. A story of young boy's struggle spanning across 60 years during the Korean war, the film's Indian remake will be set during India-Pakistan's partition period. The rights of the Indian remake of the film have been bought by Salman's brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri.
