Sooraj Pancholi made his Bollywood debut alongside Athiya Shetty in 'Hero', and the film got the required lift as it was produced by Salman Khan. It was Salman's first production under the Salman Khan Films banner, and the actor went all out to promote two new talents in the industry.
However, Sooraj has been in the news even before he made his big Bollywood debut. The actor was dating actress Jiah Khan who committed suicide, and since then Sooraj has remained in the news even as the case still continues. Jiah's mother Rabia Khan alleges that Sooraj was responsible for abetting her daughter to commit suicide.
While the case still goes on, Sooraj has moved on and admitted that he is in a relationship with an industry outsider. In a recent interview with a leading magazine, the actor revealed, "I'm in a relationship. She's not from this industry. She's a nice girl. Well, guess the paparazzi haven't caught us yet. I always wanted my partner to be a simple person. She can do what she wants, wear what she wants, work wherever she wants. I wanted a simple soul and I guess I've found her."
When the actor was asked if link-up stories affect him, Sooraj said, "I don't mind being talked about where my life, work or even link-ups are concerned. If I've decided to be a celebrity, I know that it comes at a cost. But people should understand where to draw the line. I don't like it when my family is dragged into things."
Sooraj further spoke about the incident when he was spotted with a mystery girl who was actually his sister and said, "I walked out of a restaurant with my sister Sana and the next day it was all over the media, 'Sooraj seen with a mystery girl'. That mystery girl was my sister. It’s not fair. They should have some protocol."
