With Raees and Kaabil opening up to great response, and many great films to look forward, 2017 is shaping up to be a great year for Bollywood. However, one of the major film collaboration that was announced this year that surprised everyone was the collab between Bollywood superstars, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar.
Talking about this fab collab, Akshay praised Salman Khan for going ahead and investing in a film that does not star the actor himself. The actor said, "This is the first time that a big actor like himself asked the other actor to sign a film and to do a film. It only happens in Hollywood. It hasn't happened here. I have never come across anything like this. So, I think it is a great thing and if it goes successful then this can become a trend. Hats off to that man to come up with the fact, to put his own money on the other actor."
"Friendship doesn't mean we have to meet everyday. We don't meet everyday. I have never been to his place and he's never been to my place. But we have a mutual admiration. I admire him from far way and he admires me from far away," sad Akshay talking about his equation with Salman Khan.
This 2018 film will be directed by Anurag Singh, and if rumours are to be believed is based on Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay neither confirmed nor denied the rumours, and concluded with "Nothing is finalized yet. Everything is still going on."
