On the day of Raees and Kaabil's release, Rakesh Roshan was shocked when he heard that the distributors favoured 'Raees' by giving them 60% of the screens instead of the decided 50-50. Rakesh Roshan was obviously upset with the news and blamed the makers of 'Raees' for foul play. He strongly worded his concerns and slammed Shah Rukh Khan and team for playing unfairly.
While the makers of 'Raees' and Shah Rukh decided to keep mum about the issue, in a video interview SRK was asked to comment on the video. When asked what he had to say regarding the accusations made by Rakesh Roshan, he said, "I always keep my friendship and business separate and I feel It should be like that. They are my friends and I wished Hrithik and team 'Kaabil' all the best. I hope their film does amazing business."
Hrithik though didn't talk about the matter to the media, he on Twitter in support of his father tweeted:
When further asked if he would like to bring the issue up with Rakesh Roshan, SRK added, "If my dad would have been alive, I would have made him talk to Rakesh Ji. But I don't have my dad with me now."
Point well stated Shah Rukh!
