Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan will be seen returning to the big screen next year after his break post 'Housefull 3'. Abhishek has signed four projects for the coming year which include, Ronnie Screwvala's next, his own home production 'Lefty', an untitled venture by Nishikanth Kamat and a film titled Bachchan Singh, which will be directed by Priyadarshan.
According to reports, Abhishek's next with Ronnie Screwvala has gotten Irrfan Khan on board as well. The film will feature Abhishek and Irrfan as friends who are forced to take a road trip. The directorial debut of Akarsh Khurana, the script of the film is co-written by him and Hussain Dalal.
“It’s a light-hearted comedy which will feature Abhishek and Irrfan as friends who, due to certain situations, are forced to take a road trip together. Both the actors loved the script and instantly agreed to be a part of it. The film is expected to roll early next year,” a source close to the development informed.
While Abhishek and Irrfan have been finalised for the lead, the search for the lead actress is still on. "The makers want to cast a fresh face and auditions are currently underway," the source further added.
All of Abhishek's upcoming projects are slated to go on floors by the year end. Irrfan Khan is currently gearing up for the release of 'Hindi Medium'.
