Now you can lose weight easily with a cup of joe. Research suggests that coffee can effectively aid weight loss in women due to its anti-obesity compounds. You can easily notice a difference if you are drinking 2-3 cups of coffee in a day.
According to the findings of the study, women of all age groups who regularly maintained their daily dose of coffee had 4.1 to 2.8 percent less body fat than those who didn’t consume coffee. Coffee can reduce total body fat, including abdominal or adiposity fat, all thanks to its caffeine, antioxidants, and diterpenes.
This result remained the same among people who drank caffeinated or de-caffeinated coffee. People with chronic illness compared with healthy ones also showed the same consistency and those who had been actively smoking too. However, coffee has been found ineffective when it comes to weight loss among men.
“Our research suggests that there may be bioactive compounds in coffee other than caffeine that regulate weight and which could potentially be used as anti-obesity compounds. It could be that coffee, or its effective ingredients, could be integrated into a healthy diet strategy to reduce the burden of chronic conditions related to the obesity epidemic,” said Dr. Lee Smith, a senior researcher of Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.
