Last night Jio Filmfare Awards completed its first edition in Punjab successfully, with glitz, glamour and stars from the Punjabi film industry.
While stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, Neeru Bajwa and Gurdaas Mann graced the event, Arjan Bajwa, Manish Paul and Pammi Aunty aka Ssumier Pasricha played the perfect hosts and kept the audiences entertained with their witty quips and a funny one-liners.
Diljit, who has received a lot of applause from the audience for his performance in Anushka Sharma’s ‘Phillauri’ that hit the theatres recently, bagged two trophies in the categories- ‘Best Playback Singer’ and ‘Best Actor In A Leading Role.’
Elated by this remarkable feat, the actor said,”I am feeling very excited. It’s a big thing that Filmfare has come to Punjab. Our Punjabi film industry is very excited and positive about it.”
