John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer 'Force 2' has been awarded a 'UA' certificate by The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and the board has asked the director Abhinay Deo to make three cuts in the film. The said cuts in the film pertain to the cross-border terrorism and relations between India and Pakistan. As per the censor board, the three scenes in question are reportedly ‘vital scenes’ with strong political undertones.
However, according to reports, the filmmakers and producers are in no mood to take this lying down and have decided to appeal against the cuts. The makers believe that the 'flow of the movie' will be affected if these scenes are chopped.
The lead actor John Abraham opened up about the cuts and said that unlike the original film, the sequel has a strong political message regarding the cross-border issues. The actor further added that the film was shot way before the Uri attacks, and hence some parts might even look pre-emptive.
Joining the cast is actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has proved her mettle as action-heroine with her 'Akira'. Directed by Abhinav Deo, ‘Force 2’, will release worldwide on November 18, 2016.
