Ajay Devgn, who produced the Marathi film, 'Vitti Dandu' in 2014 is all set to make his foray into Marathi cinema as an actor. According to reports, Ajay will be seen making a special appearance in a family drama starring Nana Patekar, Sumeet Raghavan and Iravati Harshe.
Talking about the project, film's director, Satish Rajwade said, "I’ve been discussing the film with Abhinav for over a year now. We’ve always wanted to work together and I’m happy to be collaborating with him. Ajay and Nana are superstars and I’m really excited to be working with such powerhouse talents."
A source close to the development revealed that director Rajwade approached Ajay with the offer as he believed that Ajay's inclusion would add a certain flavour to the film.
While Ajay Devgn has already played a swashbuckling Marathi cop in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham' series, this will be the first time that Ajay will be seen in a regional film. Ajay will also be seen delivering his own lines in Marathi. In fact, Ajay and Kajol had given the mahurat clap for the film in May.
