Sanjay Dutt, post his release from the Yerwada jail, announced that he will be a part of 'Jal' famed director Girish Malik's next tentatively titled 'Torbaaz'. The film, apparently, will see the actor play the role of a retired army officer and is about Afghan kids who are trained to be suicide bombers.
Recently, rumour mills went abuzz with the reports of 'Torbaaz' makers signing on Ankita Lokhande to play the lead opposite Sanjay in the film. It was stated to be Ankita's big Bollywood break, a thought that has crossed the minds of Ankita's many fans. The actress rose to fame with Ekta Kapoor's television show 'Pavitra Rishta' and made headlines for her affair with co-star Sushant Singh Rajput (now ex).
However, director Girish refuted the reports of signing Ankita, and said, "We are currently doing our pre-production. I don’t know Ankita, and apart from Sanjay Dutt, no one else has been signed or even approached." He not only blatantly refused Ankita's part in the film, he also said that he didn't know who Ankita is.
The film is all set to go on floors by December and is most likely to release next year.
