In today's sedentary lifestyle, we've all become accustomed to not doing a lot of physical activity. Everything is available at the touch of a button so even if you're someone who commutes by cab every day, you have apps that you can use to call a cab right at your doorstep. You don't even need to walk up to a cab stand any more. This is why it's very important to ensure that you're getting some form of physical activity. But if you think that you can opt for your exercise any time you want, we suggest you think again.
A new study has found that when it comes to exercising, the timing of the day can also play a very important role. As per the study, the best time to opt for exercise would be early in the morning. The study was conducted on 375 individuals who had all managed to lose weight and maintain their weight post shedding excess kilos. These people were also reported to opt for moderate to vigorous physical activity. It was found that the ones that were most consistent and lost the most weight were the ones who exercised early in the morning.
The study was also able to find that people who consistently exercised for a particular period of time were able to maintain their weight irrespective of whether they exercised during the morning, afternoon or evening. "Our findings warrant future experimental research to determine whether promoting consistency in the time of day that planned and structured physical activity is performed can help individuals achieve and sustain higher levels of physical activity," said senior author Dale Bond.
Well, we suggest that you get some amount of exercise on a daily basis irrespective of the time. If you make healthy lifestyle changes, you'll see the changes in your body eventually. Stay tuned for more updates.
