Since it's summer time, it's not just your skin and hair that suffers, but also the plants. As much as most of the plants love the sun, there are a few house plants that can go through a tough time. And if you're someone who has a lot of them at your home and are worrying about them dying in the heat, you need not panic and take a few steps to take good care of them.
Here are a few tips which will help you take care of your
indoor plants in this hot days:
- Spray some anti-ant spray on your plants: Since it's summer time, ants tend to get on the flowers and fruits in your garden. These ants can thrive on the flowers and there are chances the flowers will delay as soon as they bloom. So, in order to get rid of these ants, you need a neem solution and you can make one by boiling some water and adding some fresh leaves of neem to it. Then, you can spray this solution on the plants so that your plants won't get bothered by ants.
- Bring your planters back to life: If the plants are ignored or not taken proper care of in excessive heat they might start to die down and they will stop growing. This means your plants need something to amp up their life. You can make a turmeric and water solution to bring them back to life. Turmeric water can be sprayed on the dried and yellow leaves. This will promote growth hormones in the almost dying plants and they will come back to life and feel fresh in just a couple of days.
- Water them well: Watering your plants really well is the most important step to consider. The water should be able to seep to the deepest layer of the soil as the heatwaves can evaporate all the moisture from the soil in no time. Hence, watering your plants is very essential to let them grow nicely during summers.
- Make sure they get some coolness too: Since it's summer time, the weather could get difficult for your plants to survive and grow. Keep them in a place where the rays of the sun don't directly fall on them. You can keep them inside for a while during the afternoon hours and then put them back in the windows. Water them well and see them grow greatly.
