Human relationships are complex by nature. Whether it's a relationship between family members or friends or partners, relationships are based on factors like trust, love, understanding and effort. However, millennial relationships are witnessing a different new problems despite all the effort. One of such problems is 'pubbing'.
Pubbing is the constant urge of checking mobile phone in between a conversation with your loved ones. Influenced by the new-age habit of being online most of the time, the word 'pubbing' is derived from two different words, i.e- 'phone' and 'snubbing'.
This common act among the modern generation can lead to ignoring the person present with you and most importantly can come out very rude.
As the tendency of pubbing is increasing more and more nowadays, relationships are getting more affected. Not only it can disturb a conversation with your family and friends, but also can cause misunderstanding and wrong impression.
Constant pubbing can lead to phone addiction and reduce ones in-person interaction ability. It can also cause dissatisfaction, feud and even depression among couples and family.
The immature act of being too involved with the virtual world through mobile phones can also cause a lack of interest for surrounding environment. This can affect the sensory organs and ones mental health. More than the person who does pubbing, the other person who's being pubbed or ignored, tends to suffer from mental break down. Such people due to their personal relationships can experience lack of self-esteem, patience, self -control, existence or even identity.
The only way out from the vicious cycle of pubbing is through maintaining a limited screen time and space between virtual world, and real life. You must also save some time for your own self. Remember, communication is the key to a healthy relationship.
