The coronavirus pandemic has only been increasing its rage across the world and for everyone this has meant a continued increase in the lockdowns. And while so many of us have successfully adapted to the new situation, there's always this lingering thought of 'What if' and 'What happens next?'. Somewhere, deep down, we're all afraid of what turns the situation will take during these unprecedented and trying times. And all of this stress can prove to be very bad for our health. Which is why, it's so important to stay positive during these lockdowns. Here's how you can
help yourself stay more positive and keep a calm mind during this situation.
Be grateful for what you have: It's easy to get frustrated and keep wondering why you're stuck in this situation but right now what's important is to remember that everyone else is stuck too. At least you have a roof over your head, food on your plates and a bed to sleep in. There are so many others who don't even have the basics. So, be more grateful for what you have.
Create a balance: Try to be more productive during this time since you finally have the time to do things that you wanted. Do your work properly and pay attention to chores but also create a balance by picking up a hobby like painting or reading. These things will help you feel more fulfilled and happy.
Meditate: Sometimes you need to turn yourself off so that you can give yourself the space and time that you need to grow. Meditation can help make you feel calm and relaxed, unlike any other activity. Opting for it for even a few minutes per day will help bring about a significant change in your attitude. So give this a try and see how well it'll work.
Help thy neighbours: We've been told to always help those who need it the most and this is the time where you implement these learnings. Try to help your neighbours and be a better person in general when you step out. It'll help you by creating a sense of goodwill and compassion and will also work wonders in reducing your anxiety.
Remember these tips and keep in mind that this phase will also pass eventually. Stay tuned for more updates.
