Vivek Oberoi has been missing in action post his film, Great Grand Masti’s, release. While the actor has had a dwindling career at the box office, there is no doubt that his performance in each of his films has been absolutely brilliant. And though Vivek has managed a line of business in Bollywood, the actor now plans to make his debut in Marathi cinema.
Recently, Marathi cinema has been doing really well, the story line of many films have garnered the attention of filmmakers who now want to remake these films in Hindi and other languages. But unlike the remakes, Riteish Deshmukh, who is Vivek’s good friend, has offered him a Marathi film. Vivek in an interview to Filmfare revealed, “Riteish has narrated a script to me. I liked it. If everything goes well, I will be doing it. Let’s see.”
The actor also added that he foresees himself doing Marathi films, and if things work out well then he may end up doing exploring that space too. Vivek added, “I see myself as a part of Marathi cinema. I would love to do a Marathi film.” He also spoke highly about the content of Marathi films and spoke the about well executed storylines too.
While Riteish is one actor who’s been effectively dabbling between the Hindi and Marathi cinema, it will great to see Vivek exploring the regional space too.
