Vidya Balan, who is currently busy promoting, her next release, 'Kahaani 2', has signed her next project, 'Tumhari Sulu'. 'Tumhari Sulu' is a comedy-drama, wherein Vidya will be seen playing the role of Sulochana AKA Sulu, a fun and feisty late-night radio jockey, who hosts a semi-adult radio program. To be directed the 'Mauka Mauka' adman, Suresh Triveni, the film is expected to go on floors in April.
Atul Kasbekar, whose Ellipsis Entertainment is the co-producer of the film, confirmed the news saying, "This gem of a script will make you cheer and laugh. The character of Sulu is fun, happy-go-lucky, but grounded, everything that Vidya is in real life."
T-Series has also come onboard as the producer for the project. T-Series head, Bhushan Kumar released a statement saying, "Today's evolved audience want content that is real and relatable. Tumhari Sulu is a lovely, heart-warming story tailor-made for Vidya, and we are proud to produce to associate with it."
