Ace choreographer Bosco Martis, who is gearing for his debut as a director with 'Circus' has been started searching for a leading lady for quite some time now. Last summer the reports suggested that the choreographer-turned-director had approached Kangana Ranaut, who had agreed to come onboard with Sooraj Pancholi stepping in for another prominent role. While the project was all set to go on floors soon, the progress came to a ground halt when Kangana bowed out of the project owing to scheduling conflicts.
Post Kangana, Bosco confirmed that Parineeti had been roped in for the part. However, Parineeti too bowed out following some back and forth and the reports were that project had been shelved.
And now, according to reports, Bosco has found his leading lady in Sonakshi Sinha. Reports further suggest that Sonakshi recently signed on the dotted line and will be seen as a trapeze artiste in the film.
Suniel Shetty will be seen playing the part of Sonakshi's father, a former circus performer. Excited about the project, Suniel revealed that Circus is on track and that they have already wrapped up prep. "It’s an ambitious, intense story with a larger-than-life set-up. I’m looking forward to filming with Sonakshi," the actor added.
Talking about the project, a source close to development revealed that the film is spanning across decades and will feature extensive flashbacks. The source added, "While the supporting cast will consist of trained performers, the leads will train with gymnasts and acrobats to work on their stance and balance. There will be extensive action and dance sequences with fire and water acts."
The first schedule of the film is set to kick off next month in the US and the actors will soon start attending workshops with an international crew.
