As reported earlier, filmmaker Aanand L Rai and Kangana Ranaut, who collaborated on two hit films 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns', were at loggerheads owing to a misunderstanding between the two. The filmmaker was apparently upset with Kangana for spreading rumours about him writing a script for her and wanting to work with her soon.
Another source close to the actress had revealed that the actress is upset with Aanand over his comments. The source said to a leading portal, "Kangana hasn't gone on record and claimed that she is working with Aanand in a film or that the director has a script for her."
The source further clarified, "Despite sharing such great equation with the director, if he still chooses to believe these things then nothing can be done. Also, if Aanand is upset with the entire Kangana and Karan controversy and thinks that the actress is wrong, then Ranaut too won't have time to accommodate someone with a patriarchal mindset."
However, a recent report in a leading tabloid now suggests that Aanand and Kangana have buried the hatchet as the two have now cleared the misunderstanding. The report further suggests that the two met a common friend's birthday bash and got talking which helped them clarify their stand to each other.
On the work front, Kangana is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. Whereas, Aanand's untitled next starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif is all set to go on floors.
