During his appearance on 'Koffee With Karan', Varun had claimed that he was a little diplomatic because some things (said on the show) get mistreated in the media.
In similar taste Shah Rukh Khan when asked about 'Koffee With Karan' said, "I think it’s brilliant...Now, it's a little held back. Even Karan has noticed that." He further added, "At this point in time, there’s no differentiating one media from another. You say a word — it can be talked, published, reported in any way. So, everybody is wary. I wish we had times when we could just have fun. I think the sense of humour is diluting a little bit. At times people take themselves too seriously."
Praising Karan for being able to handle the situations on the show rather well, SRK said, "He is aware that he, too, has to hold back. Even if you really screw up on Karan's show, he himself would turn around and say this is something he’s not going to use on television. He doesn't do it for enticement or any kind of vulgar display of TRPs. He does it with a lot of dignity and respect. It may not come across like that because we're having fun but there's an understanding among everyone."
SRK concluded saying that it was Karan's popularity because of which the show could sustain for this long! He said, "He's wonderful. He loves everyone who comes on his show and everybody loves him back. That comfort makes the show beautiful. Even if held back (in a way), it's one of the most open shows because everybody loves each other."
It is just like Karan Johar said during his recent appearance, "Koffee with Karan is a fun, irrelevant and casual watch!"
