It was recently reported that Salman Khan had taken up horse riding lessons for his next – ‘Tiger Zinda Hai.’ According to director Ali Abbas Zafar, Salman had arrived in Morocco straight from New York and had begun training on no sleep. The multitasking actor has now added on to his busy schedule – taking hip hop lessons in between shots!
While the actor has a unique dancing style that – whether one likes it or not – finds its way to the dance floor, like his signature step in 'Dabangg' or Radio in 'Tubelight', this time the actor has begun dance lessons to prepare for his role in Remo D’Souza’s next. In order to get his moves right, he has hired a group of dancers to teach him hip-hop along with choreographer Saajan Singh – Remo’s protégé.
Tentatively titled ‘Dancing Dad’, the film has Salman playing a widower with a nine-year-old daughter. Jacqueline Fernandez, who previously worked opposite Salman in Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’, has also been roped in for the film.
Talking about the film, Remo said, “He (Salman) is already training for this movie. I can't tell you the dance form as it's the main element in the film.” He also added that the film would be to dance, what 'Dangal' is to sports.
Salman’s dance lessons follow the trend of industry actors throwing themselves head first into preparing for an authentic character – from Sidharth Malhotra taking up urban rappelling for his film ‘A Gentleman’ to Kangana Ranaut training in sword-fighting for the period drama, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’.
Helmed by Remo D’Souza, ‘Dancing Dad’ is expected to go on floors once Salman wraps up the filming of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
