Actor Ranveer Singh is gearing up for his upcoming magnum opus 'Padmavati', which also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. Fans were totally impressed by Ranveer's look in the film's trailer. And we all know that the actor always goes that extra mile to get a character right on the screen and 'Padmavati' is no different. According to reports, sources revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali shot a song sequence with Ranveer in which the filmmaker insisted on the actor giving more than 10 retakes for one shot to make it better.
The sources also added that this song is a one-of-a-kind crazy song which Sanjay plans to release just before the film hits the screens. Ranveer has reportedly been rehearsing with ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya. A source revealed, "The song is going to be bigger than any of the Sanjay-Ranveer combination songs that have been done before." The source further added, "The poster, which was unveiled on social media recently, was just a glimpse, this song is going to be killer and bigger."
We all know how particular Sanjay is when it comes to his films which is why he hired artist Vipul Amar and psychologist Harsheen Arora to design the costumes for the film. Harsheen has been looking into the detailing of the costumes created for the final war sequence between Khilji and Ratan Singh. "Ratan Singh was noble and honourable, Khilji believed in invasion and power. So, their attires need to reflect it," she said.
"The colours used for Shahid's armour are red and gold. Red depicts honour and an eagerness to serve one's land. Gold represents courage, generosity and passion. His chest plate is made of sculpted vintage leather and is infused with metal. In the lower half of the armour, we have used geometric patterns in leather. Rajputs preferred geometric designs over floral," she added.
"Khilji is unfazed. Imagine the kind of power he possesses if he can tame two lions and place them on his shoulders," she stated. Designer Vipul Amar also said that the team consulted an engineer to ascertain that there was mobility in the armours. "It was imperative that the actors be able to perform stunts while wearing them," he said.
