Kate Middleton is never the royal who breaks the royal dressing protocol. Her last evening’s look for a gala was one of the rare times the Duchess broke the protocol.
The Duchess of Cambridge had stepped out for Action on Addiction's gala dinner in recognition of the UK's Addiction Awareness Week. She chose a fitted off-shoulder Barbara Casasola number for the occasion. ( The Royal Protocol doesn’t permit wearing off-shoulder ensembles, as they’re considered revealing. In the past, Princess Diana and more recently Duchess of Sussex, Meghan have famously broken the protocol)
However, this isn’t the first time she wore the dress. She first wore it in 2016. The Duchess is well-known for repeating her clothes, after years of disappearance. She manages to bring a different style look with a different appearance.
Talk about repeating clothes in style.
Kate looked radiant as she looked polished in the beautifully fitted knitted dress. Kate finished off the look with her signature bouncy hair and glittering Jimmy Choo stilettos. Kate also picked a silver-toned clutch to match her shiny shoes.
The Duchess has been a patron of Action on Addiction since 2012 and gave a speech at the event. She said: “Action on Addiction was one of my very first patronages, and as such, it is very close to my heart.”
And she also spoke about trauma in childhood, and how that can affect people throughout their life.
We loved the glam-meets- formal look Kate was going for. Naturally, the Jimmy Choos were our favourite. What did you think about her look?
