Two decades after her debut in Tamil cinema, Kajol is all set to star in an upcoming Tamil film. If reports are to be believed, Kajol has been offered an important part in Soundarya Rajinikanth's directorial, 'Velaiyilla Pattathari 2'.
Kajol's Kollywood debut was with the 1997 blockbuster 'Minsara Kanavu', which went to become a commercial and critical hit. Starring Arvind Swamy and Prabhu Deva alongside Kajol, the film's music by AR Rahman was a chartbuster hit!
Kajol will be seen in the sequel to the 2014 hit, 'Velaiyilla Pattathari', alongside Dhanush. While the details of her character are not available, she is expected to join the shoot in Chennai very soon. The film went on floors this Thursday when Rajinikanth launched the film with the traditional mahurat clap.
Popularly known as 'VIP 2', the film also stars Vivek, Amala Paul, Samuthirakani apart from Dhanush and Kajol. Co-produced by V Creations and Wunderbar Films, 'VIP 2' will be shot in Tamil and Telugu, and both versions will be released simultaneously.
