Post the success of ‘Dear Zindagi’, Alia Bhatt has been riding high on the wave of success. The actress, who is just 23, with her breakthrough performances has been winning hearts all over. The young actress has been receiving film offers in abundance, but Alia is cautious about picking the right projects to add onto her line of successes.
And so, post 'Dear Zindagi' the actress is contemplating on signing a yet another female-oriented film. Apparently, Alia is in talks with director Meghna Gulzar for a next film based on Harinder S. Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat’. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, Alia will play the role of a spy with the film set in the backdrop of early 70s.
According to a leading website, the film is a thriller with Alia playing a Kashmiri girl who gets married to an army officer. The film will revolve around the struggles of her life as she dabbles between her duties as a wife and her responsibilities towards the nation. However, the male lead is yet to be finalised.
Alia has wrapped up her shoot for 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' opposite Varun Dhawan, and will soon begin work on 'Dragon' alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Currently, the actress is on a break and is busy skin dipping in Maldives.
