Filmmaker Kabir Khan and actor Salman Khan have collaborated on projects like 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', and most recently 'Tubelight'. Whenever Salman and Kabir have come together to work on a film, the duo has never left the audience disappointed. However, it was rather shocking when 'Tiger Zinda Hai', the sequel of 'Ek Tha Tiger' was announced with the 'Sultan' director Ali Abbas Zafar making it.
Though the sequel will see Salman and Katrina Kaif in the lead just like in the film's first instalment, this time instead of Kabir, Ali will be directing the film. However, Kabir has no qualms about Ali directing the film. The filmmaker, at a recent event, opened up about the same, and said, "
The series was started by me, and Ali is taking that forward. I feel very happy for him. He was my assistant and my close friend too."
The ace director further added, "
The series was started by me, and Ali is taking that forward. I feel very happy for him. He was my assistant and my close friend too." When asked if he had given any personal inputs for the sequel, Kabir said, "No, I haven't. Whatever the characters were in the first part, those will be carried forward, but the plot is different and is created by Ali only."
Salman has just finished shooting for 'Tubelight'. and will soon begin shooting for 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. The makers have begun shooting for the film in Morroco as 'Tiger Zinda Hai' is slated to release on December 22.
