Kabir Khan’s upcoming film ‘Tubelight’ stars real life siblings Salman Khan and Sohail Khan as brothers in the movie and we can’t wait to see the two actors share the screen after seven long years. However, in a recent interview, Kabir revealed that Sohail wasn’t his first choice for the role.
The filmmaker wanted an A-list star to play the role and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was his most preferred choice. “Instead of a real brother, I thought we should get another actor and create the chemistry on screen. That was while we were developing the script, and before we could decide, I was convinced by Sohail. Maybe, with another actor, I would have had to spend time and create the chemistry that Salman and Sohail share,” admitted Kabir.

Salman Khan added to this saying, “They wanted someone bigger so that we could crack the number game and earn more at the box office.” He continued, “I wanted to be really comfortable, and honestly, with Sohail, I didn’t need to act too much. The emotions came automatically. So when you see the tears in the film, sometimes, they are my own emotions as a brother.”
Set in the backdrop of the 1962 Sino-Indian War
