Comedy Night Bachao has recently got on the wrong side of the celebrities as many of them thought that the jokes were offensive and not funny. The first big blow to the Comedy Nights Bachao team was when Tannishtha Chatterjee walked out of the show because her skin tone was made fun of. Tannishtha wrote a long post on her social page outraging against the show for cracking jokes on her dark skin tone. The situation though fizzled out, Colors in its defence got in a new team to increase its audience appeal.
But no change in the show’s concept helped Colors to rake in the desired TRPs. And while the makers thought that the things were just fine, the show faced another major blow when John Abraham walked out miffed because he found the jokes offensive and not funny. Krushna Abhishek, who is good friends with the actor, rendered an apology, but John was in no mood to listen. Post the incident, the channel decided to do off with celeb roasting and sent out a message to its writers to stop writing offensive content.
While Krushna spoke about the incident and apologised for the same in public, John, who is currently busy promoting Force 2, chose not to make any noise about the same. But at a recent event when John was asked about the fallout, he said, "I feel I shouldn’t comment on it because then I will be giving too much importance to everyone. Many a times we are asked to go to many shows to promote our films, but I feel that we should only do things that are required to promote the film. I stuck to that, and there is nothing more that I could say on this."
Well, we don’t quite understand why John didn’t want to talk much about the incident, but all we could say is that his reasons to walk out of the show may be genuine.
