Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play the role of Sanjay Dutt in his biopic. The film is to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra will be producing it. However, it seems like Ranbir is facing some difficulties in getting into the skin of the character. Sanjay, who had earlier told Ranbir that he needs to be more macho, has now started avoiding the actor.
Talking about the project, Sanjay said, “Meri life kaafi interesting hogi ki Raju Hirani saab jaise director ko pasand aayi. Ranbir is playing me, aur unki haalat kafi kaharab hai. Unka mujhe roz phone aata hai. (My life should be pretty interesting given that someone like Raju Hirani liked it so much).”
Talking about Ranbir, Sanjay opined, “Ranbir is playing me and he is in quite a state. He calls me every day. He wants to spend days and weeks with me, but I can't spend more than half an hour with anybody. I have been trying to avoid him; it is a difficult role for him to play. He is a fine actor though."
The film is scheduled to go on floors in 2017.
