Nepotism in the Hindi film industry has become of the most touched upon topics since Kangana Ranaut spoke about it on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee With Karan' and called Karan the flag bearer of nepotism. After Kangana, Alia Bhatt too opened up about nepotism, but the actress' thought on nepotism was different from that of the 'Rangoon' star.
Alia went on to say that a star kid might get his/her first film because of nepotism, however, one cannot keep getting films because of their filmy background. And now, 'Commando 2' actor, Vidyut Jammwal too opened up about nepotism in the industry.
When asked if it is difficult to survive in the industry without any backing, the actor said, "
Nepotism is very big in the Hindi film industry, and hence it is very difficult to break into this industry. Even if you get a break here, it gets difficult because the people who already exist do not want you to sustain. To sustain, what people like us do is that we work very hard. We lighten ourselves up, and that is what helps us survive over here."
Vidyut will soon be seen in 'Commando 2: The Black Money Trail' as the film hits theatres on the 3rd of March. Alongside Vidyut, the film also stars Adah Sharma, Esha Gupta, and Freddy Daruwala. Directed by Deven Bhojani, the film will see Vidyut perform some of the most unbelievable stunts ever done.
