Many speculations did rounds in regards to television actress Ankita Lokhande's big Bollywood debut. Reportedly, the actress was also going to make her debut in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus, however, nothing really materialised. She remained in the news more for her affair with ex-beau Sushant Singh Rajput as there were reports that she let go off films for the actor.
After quite a few misses, Ankita is finally all set to make her debut alongside Sanjay Dutt in 'Malang'. It was only yesterday that we confirmed the news about Sanjay signing on to do 'Malang' post the completion of his comeback film 'Bhoomi'.
According to a leading tabloid, Ankita's name was first tossed around during the making of Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Happy New Year', there were also reports that she will play a pivotal role in SLB's 'Padmavati'. However, none of the two came through, and her debut remained awaited.
A source close to the tabloid revealed, "But it appears her long wait to break into Bollywood has now ended. She will be seen playing a cop in 'Malang'." When the tabloid approached debutant director Aarambh Singh for a confirmation, he rubbished the casting buzz. Ankita too refrained from commenting on the same.
