If rumours are anything to go by then Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur will soon be sharing the screen for the 'Fault In Our Stars' remake. The film is to be produced by Karan Johar under his banner, Dharma Productions. The production house had approached Homi Adjania, who even confirmed the news. In a statement, Homi gave back in 2014, he said, "Yes, I have been asked to make a Hindi adaptation of the best-selling book The Fault In Our Stars. As of now, it’s being scripted and only after I lock the draft will we finalise the cast and decide when to shoot it."
Back in 2014, nothing was finalised on the cast, whereas looks like things are finally materialising for the film. Talking to Bombay Times, a source revealed, "Alia was always the first choice for the film. In fact, the project had been planned with her in mind. Now, impressed with Aditya’s performance in 'OK Jaanu', the production house has approached him for the male lead. If everything goes as planned, the film should take off around June July 2017."
With things finally working out for the makers, the film will be worth the wait. This will be the first time ever that Aditya and Alia will be seen in a film together.
