Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' has finally seen some light post the mighty controversial scenario, pre-release. The movie is seeing packed theatres and is grossing on box-office charts. What more? It's receiving praise not just from fans but also from actors and directors of the industry too! And after Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, filmmaker Karan Johar took to Twitter to say the nicest things post watching the film.
He posted, “Huge Congratulations to the magnificent team of #Padmaavat ! The maestro Sanjay Leela Bhansali! The magical trio @deepikapadukone @shahidkapoor and @RanveerOfficial ! A bonafide BLOCKBUSTER!! A validation of conviction and passion!” Earlier Karan had said about 'Padmaavat', “When I see Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh on the posters of 'Padmavati'... I am dying to see the film, I want to see the film. We all should keep pushing ourselves to better ourselves.”

He was also vocal about the controversies that the film was going through. He had then said, “As a filmmaker, I can only hope that we have a smooth release. Supreme Court judgement went in favour of 'Padmaavat', it is a matter of happiness that the law has prevailed.” Also, whilst talking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan had said earlier, “I am jealous. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the most visually amazing filmmakers and he is on top of his game. The way he paints a visual, it is amazing and no one else can do it. I am envious. He is brilliant and I aspire to be there. It motivates me to see his work.”
