While SS Rajamouli's 'Bahubali 2: The Conclusion' is all set to release in April, the director has already started planning for his next film. According to reports, SS Rajamouli is all set to start working on his dream project, 'Mahabharata'.
However, if sources are to be believed, the director plans to make his next a little more Grand as compared to his current magnum opus, 'Bahubali'. The director plans to approach the biggest film stars from the Indian film industry for various key roles. According to a leading entertainment portal, Bollywoodlife.com, the director to approach Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal to play key parts in 'Mahabharata'.
The report suggests, "Rajamouli is currently busy with Baahubali 2, but he is thrilled about Mahabharat. He wants to take Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal on board for this project. He is yet to decide on the characters these stars will portray.” The source further added that the director is all set to make this grand announcement in the coming few days.
During 'Dangal' promotions when Aamir was questioned about the possibility of collaborating with Rajamouli, the actor seemed to be delighted at the prospect. The actor said, "I am a huge fan of Rajamouli’s work and if he ever plans to make ‘Mahabharata’, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna."
While we await further information on the production further front, it will certainly be a casting coupe if the director manages to get all the three stars for this grand trilogy!
