Ever since the new COVID-19 has come to our lives, cleanliness has become our topmost priority. However, this should have always been our habit, with and without the virus family. Disinfecting everything that’s possible can only ensure our safety against the novel coronavirus. While we have seen how celebrities and influencers are taking serious steps to keep themselves clean, popular Makeup artist Daniel Martin recently shared his
mantra of keeping his makeup free from bacteria and germs.
Martin is a popular name among celebrities who has done makeup for the Duchess of Sussex-Meghan Markle and other popular celebrities like Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Alba, Olivia Palermo, Priyanka Chopra, and Jessica Biel.
Daniel starts off his work on any client by washing and sanitizing his hands. He keeps a spray bottle of 995 isopropyl alcohol to sanitise all of his products before beginning. “It is best to let the alcohol dissipate on its own than rubbing it with hands or a tissue that can further contaminate the beauty products,” added Daniel.
Daniel also stressed on the importance of keeping makeup brushes clean. He used a dish-washing detergent that contains chloroxylenol to prevent bacteria. “It is also ideal to use any cleanser that contains isododecane to dry clean the brushes.”
He finished off his weekly deep cleaning routine with generous sprays of sanitiser over his brushes.
It might seem like a lot but we think a little OCD can actually help to keep your skin away from germs and bacteria.
On the work front, Daniel Martin is a current brand ambassador for Dior Beauty.
