It's summertime and soon all of us will be stepping out of the house once this virus outbreak clears out. And some of us are going to worry about all those patchy tans that the season is going to bring to them due to sensitive skin. But you need not worry! We've got you some DIY remedies that will help you de-tan and keep that spotless beauty intact.
- Lemon and honey: All you need to do is, mix one tbsp of lemon juice with two tbsp of honey and massage it on your skin. Leave it on for 5 minutes before you wash it off with cold water. Lemon works best to remove a tan. The acidity that lemon juice has works as a natural bleaching agent and reduces any sort of discolouration. Honey on the other hand is a natural humectant as it doesn't leave the skin feel dull or dry after using lemon.
- Besan, aloe vera and turmeric: You need 2 tbsp of besan mixed with half a tsp of turmeric. Once you mix the two, you need to add some aloe vera gel to it to form a thick paste. You can then apply it on your skin and let it dry. Once it's done, you can rub it gently and peel it off like a mask. If you think the pack is too dry, you can add some rose water in it. Besan is one of our favourites in the Indian kitchen when it comes to beauty treatments which is known to treat acne and remove tan. Turmeric helps with a lot of skin issues as it has anti-inflammatory properties and to add to all the goodness, there's aloe vera helping us with de-tanning.
- Coffee, coconut oil and sugar: For this, you need 1 tsp coffee powder and suar in a bowl. Add some coconut oil to it and make a thick paste out of it. Apply this paste on your skin and gently massage it all over. Was it off with water a few minutes later. The oiliness of coconut oil might stay for long and that also helps to keep moisturized. Everyone loves coffee, not just drinking but also for beauty purposes. It improves blood circulation and sugar helps with exfoliation. While the two works well for de-tanning your skin, coconut oil works best as a lubricant for the skin.
