According to experts, your cleaning routine or pattern must be divide into a weekly to monthly basis. Ideally, you should be cleaning your pillowcases with a gap of 7-6 days as it tends to get dirty faster of all other bedroom furnishings.
Items like bed sheets, bed covers can be washed once every other week if you are someone who don’t sweat excessively during the sleeping hours. Otherwise, washing them on the weekends along with pillowcases Is equally fine to maintain its quality.
Other items like duvet covers, blankets and other kinds of comforters must be sent for laundry every once in a month. It is also best to follow the product’s care guidelines to figure out what kind of wash works best for the fabric of the product. Anyone who can’t fall asleep with their top cover on or suffers from allergies frequently can double up their number of washes in a month.
You may also consider washing your mattress pads once every three months, however, it must be a gentle wash in the machine. Lastly, to clean your mattress you should be vacuuming to get rid of dust, odour and stains. You can spot clean stain with a mix of dish soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide solution. From time to time you must expose your bedding and cover to the sunlight to ward off germs.
