Whether it's a simple manicure or the perfect gel nails, we've all done our bit to make our hands look pretty. But now that all the salons and parlours are shut, we're having to make do with the things that we've got at home. And while we may have access to nail paints and other skincare ingredients, the one thing most of us don't always have on hand is cuticle oil.
And let's be honest, cuticle oil is absolutely necessary if you want your nails to grow stronger and make your nail beds softer. What's more, cuticle oil can also make the skin surrounding your nails all smooth and soft, thus also giving your hand a beautiful appearance. So, here's how you can make cuticle oil at home.
The ingredients you'll need are Almond oil, Lavender essential oil, Rose essential oil and an empty bottle to store it in. To make this, pour 1 tablespoon of almond oil in the empty nail polish bottle. Add 4 drops of lavender oil and 4 drops of rose oil to it and shake the bottle to mix them well. Once done, store it in a cool and dark place.
Whenever you paint your nails, let the paint dry and then apply a coat on your nail cuticles. Let it sit for about 2 minutes so that it soaks in your skin and then massage it well. You could also turn this into a habit by opting for it every 15 days. So, give this a try and you'll end up with fabulous looking nails in no time!
