Every woman has had facials at some point in life thinking they'll help the skin to cleanse and make it naturally shine. Facial, as we all should know is a family of skincare treatment for the face that includes a few steps like steaming, exfoliation, extraction, cream, lotion, facial masks, peels and massage. It sure is a long process that our skin goes through and eventually it leaves our skin glowing. Facials are known for keeping the skin healthy and to deal with any skin conditions as well.
That's true, facials can also fix a lot of skin conditions as many skin treatments are done on the skin one after the other. This also means that eventually our skin can lose its elasticity.
Let's look at some of the pros of facials:
The exfoliation helps in removing all the dirt and impurities from the skin while the face mask, lotion and cream penetrates the skin all too well. Then, the massaging further helps the blood circulation and makes it easier for the creams to penetrate inside the skin. The steaming helps to open the pores and helps in removing all the blackheads and whiteheads. The peeling ensures deep cleansing and extraction of the clogged pores and dirt as well. All of these steps make sure that our skin is deep cleansed and promotes blood circulation in order to bring our skin to glow.
Even when there are all these pros, we also have some cons of facials and you must know about them.
Even though facial is considered to be a skin treatment, it sure ends up giving allergies to some. Facials require the use of different creams, serums and lotions. All of which are oily in nature and eventually can affect people with acne-prone skin. People think that facials will clean their pores but they can end up clogging those pores if heavy creams are used which eventually causes the skin to have a breakout. Exfoliation on the other hand can also cause micro-tears in the skin that can in turn affect the skin's health in the long run. The massaging can loosen the skin which makes it prone to wrinkle over the time.
All of these pros and cons should help you decide if you should continue getting facials or not as you're the best person to know your skin type and skin conditions if any. So make sure you pay much more attention to your skin as it's very sensitive and should be taken care of.
