Oats are quite possibly amongst the most popular breakfasts around the globe. They're easy to make, they're tasty and they're healthy. What more could a person want? Most people opt for oats because they aid weight loss. Now, a new diet called the oatmeal diet has taken over the world by storm. There are different versions of the diet though.
One of the diets is extremely restrictive and requires a person to eat oatmeal for all three meals of the day. This will total all the calories to 1300 per day and following this the person is supposed to eat oatmeal and nothing else, twice a day.
The other version of the diet requires a person to eat two meals consisting of oatmeal while dinner should consist of a lean protein like chicken or fish along with a salad or cooked vegetables. From the nutritional point of view, the second diet is better.
However, if you want to try out the 7-day oatmeal diet, here's how you can go about it. Start by eating oatmeal three times a day for two days. Then you reduce it to two times a day for the next two days. And finally, you reduce it to one meal of oatmeal a day for the last three days. While this diet may claim to work wonders, it is always better to consult with a dietician first. Stay tuned for more updates.
