Diwali, the festival of lights is the one time when you get really excited about spending time with close family and friends, eating good food and just celebrating the festival in all its glory. So, it's only natural that when the festival comes to an end, you might feel a little put-off. The thought of getting back to your mundane day-to-day life can make you feel low. This is also termed as post-festival withdrawal syndrome or holiday blues. Here's what you can do to combat it.
Firstly,
make sure that you stay in touch with people. Just because the festive season is over, doesn't mean you don't talk to your family and friends. Make it a point to stay in touch with them and see how it will elevate your mood. It is also important to remember that
there are other festivals ahead like Christmas and New Year.
Take up a new hobby to help prevent your boredom. This way you'll end up meeting a lot of new people as well.
We all know that nights are way longer during the winters and this can lead to feelings of depression. Try and
spend some time outdoors like going for a morning walk or cycling to get that healthy dose of Vitamin D.
Sleep while you can. The festive season may have interfered with your sleep cycle and that could put you in a bad mood. So, take this time to get some rest and see how much better you feel later.
