Fashion weeks are all about creating new trends, that’s certain right? Well, just after we’re recovering from ‘platform Crocs’ that Balenciaga debuted at the Paris Fashion Week with their collab with footwear company Crocs, we’ve spotted yet another trend that we suspect might just make it big.
Pointy-toed sneakers. Yep, you heard us right! As Loewe’s Spring 2018 collection hit the runway at the fashion week, among several chic outfits, pointy-toed sneaks hit the ramp too. Taking the ordinary sneakers to new heights of fashion, Loewe featured the footwear in luxe reptile-embossed prints, suede and in several bold colours.
Fashion influencers and audiences alike, have taken to Twitter and other sorts of social media platforms to voice their opinions on this new style. And among many voices, we found people comment ‘Elf sneakers’ to a large extent. Today sneakers are being worn with almost anything, with dresses and denims alike and while we’ve just exited the entire ‘white sneakers’ phase are we moving toward the pointy-toed phase anytime soon?
We can’t wait to see whether this trend picks up. And while we remain confused as to our stand on the matter we’d love to hear what you think. Pointy-toed sneakers…yay or nay?
Your thoughts, please…
