Actor Vicky Kaushal is all prepped up as he will be seen next with Alia Bhatt in ‘Raazi’. The film is based on a real-life life incidence as portrayed in Harinder Sikka’s novel, ‘Calling Sehmat’, the film will protray the story of an Indian spy who married a Pakistani army officer, so as to provide information during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. He will be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Love and Lust’ anthology. The actor expressed, “I got a call from Karan (Johar), who wanted me to meet Meghna as he thought I’d be apt for the part.”
Vicky Kaushal said, “Even if a film is adapted from a real incidence, the director remains your one point reference. As an actor, you have to surrender to their vision and that is what I tend to do with every film. I have learned to give myself completely to the director and to essay the character assigned with utmost honesty.”
Alia Bhatt will also collaborate with her mother Soni Razdan for the first time in ‘Raazi’, “They all such great individuals; I had a ball of a time working with them. Meghna is one of the warmest individuals I have ever come across. Alia is one of the most amazing actors today. She is spontaneous and organic as an actor and really honest, humble about her work.”
After ‘Raazi’, the actor will begin shooting for Anurag Kashyap’s love story, ‘Manmarziyan’, with Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan on February 15. “We will be shooting in Amritsar in a start-to-finish schedule of 40-50 days.
