Ranveer Singh: I have no apprehensions in playing a role portraying bisexuality

Also, the actor is currently busy shooting for his next, 'Gully Boy' where he will be seen sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt. However, considering the magnitude of the 'Padmaavat' controversy, the actor had much to say about it to a journalist recently. He also opened up about how he wouldn't mind playing the role portraying bisexuality. On this, he said, “I have no apprehensions in playing a role portraying bisexuality, I am a liberal-minded person and think Section 377 should be scrapped.”
Talking about the controversy surrounding 'Padmaavat' and the violence that went with it, he said, “I was shocked at the violence over 'Padmaavat'. As an artist, it was enraging to see people damage the set and break film equipment. Friends and producers categorically told me not to do or say anything to react lest I make matters worse." Ranveer is also quite active on social media and he also opened up about the cons of it. “Social media is a big old beast. Of the 6 billion people in the world, about 15 might oppose something that you say and that gets highlighted,” said the actor.
Ranveer also highlighted the importance of writers in the film industry and credited them for coming up with unique ideas and topics for various films.
