Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most versatile actors in the Bollywood industry. The actor has fans not just in India but all over the world and his achievements prove it. And now, in a moment of pride for the entire country, Shah Rukh has received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters at La Trobe University for his humanitarian work.
Shah Rukh Khan has also been in Australia to attend the 10th edition of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) as its chief guest. Talking about receiving this honorary doctorate, Shah Rukh says "I'm proud to be conferred with a great university like La Trobe which has a long-standing relationship with Indian culture and impressive track record in advocating for women's equality.”
He further added, "I feel truly privileged to receive this honorary doctorate and I would like to sincerely thank La Trobe for choosing to recognise my achievements in such a humbling way.” This is also the first Australian University to award SRK with an honorary degree.
What's more, SRK also received an award for 'Excellence in Cinema' at the film festival. When the actor went on stage to receive the award, he also shook a leg to 'Apna Time Ayega' with a bunch of kids and if that isn't adorable we don't know what is.
Well, we sure are proud of SRK. He's proved time and again just how amazing an actor he is and what a wonderful human being he is. On the work front, SRK was last seen in Aanand L Rai's 'Zero' which also featured Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Stay tuned for more updates.
