Shah Rukh Khan’s character in ‘Zero’, Bauua Singh has a rather wicked sense of humour and the film’s promos are proof of it. From the looks of it, Bauua Singh will keep the audience entertained and the love triangle between Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and himself will be something to watch out for.
When SRK was asked if he had some input in Bauua Singh’s wicked sense of humour, the actor replied, “It could be, because Himanshu Sharma (the writer), Aanand L. Rai and I have wicked senses of humour.” He even revealed that when the girls saw the film, in the beginning, they said that they are not used to seeing Shah Rukh like this. SRK further said that playing a vertically challenged person was not a gimmick to him. He explained how Aanand and he have been worried that the character’s height shouldn’t become the mainstay of the film.
When asked about the characters, SRK revealed that the three main characters of the film, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and himself, are all physically, emotionally and mentally incomplete. But SRK further explained that Zero aims to celebrate the incompleteness as uniqueness. While talking about his character, SRK revealed that Aanand got his ‘kaccha-banyan’ designed by the costume designer. He said that Aanand wanted to merchandise his attire and he even hoped that it will become a fashion statement very soon.
Further, into the conversation, Shah Rukh also spoke about his daughter Suhana Khan’s acting career and emphasized on the fact that he wants her to complete her studies and then dive into the world of acting. When asked how Suhana helped him on the sets of Zero, he revealed that she wanted some on-ground experience, so I called her on sets while we were shooting for the song ‘Mere Naam Tu’. The actor said, “She wanted to gather some production experience because a part of learning acting is to spend time on production. I wanted her to watch Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma because both are such different actors, Katrina has her charm, and Anushka her way of enacting things and me wanted Suhana to benefit from spending time with them. However, Suhana became more like a manager to me and made sure I reached my sets on time!”
Zero is slated to hit the screens on December 21.
