Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is busy shooting for his upcoming period romance, ‘Padmavati’ had a visitor on the sets. On December 20, Sanjay Dutt dropped in on the sets of ‘Padmavati’ to meet the National Award-winning filmmaker.
As SLB was busy shooting a crucial sequence starring Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Sanjay had to wait for a bit to meet the director. Post the shot, SLB and Sanjay chose a far corner of the set and were immersed in a deep discussion.
Post this hour-long discussion, SLB dropped Sanjay outside the sets, where the two chatted for another ten minutes, before hugging and parting ways. Since then the rumours of a collaboration between the two have been doing rounds.
A source present on the sets told a leading tabloid, “We did not know Sanju baba was going to turn up on the Padmavati set that day. Watching the two talk for such a long time without anyone else’s presence made everyone wonder if Bhansali sir was going to re-start his Khalnayak remake. Everybody knows that SLB wanted Sanju to reprise his role of Ballu Balram from the original Subhash Ghai film. But we’ve been told that the two were actually discussing Padmavati at length.”
Reports also suggest that Sanjay Dutt is expected to join the ensemble cast of ‘Padmavati’, and shoot for a special appearance.
