Sajid Nadiadwala made his directorial debut with Salman Khan starrer 'Kick'. The film not only did well at the box office, but Sajid's directorial skills too received praises in abundance. Post which people were eagerly waiting for Sajid to direct another film, and often questioned him about the possibility of 'Kick 2'. With two years now since 'Kick' released, Sajid has been working on the script of 'Kick 2'.
However, a source recently revealed to a leading daily that 'Kick 2' was to go on floors in 2017, but because of Salman's busy schedule, the film will now go on floors by 2018. A source close to Sajid Nadiadwala said, "He has finished writing 80 per cent of 'Kick 2'. He has sounded Salman Khan out about the script and the actor loves it. They’ve decided to work on the film from the middle of 2018."
The source further went on to add, "'Kick 2' would’ve happened in 2017 itself. But this year Salman is busy with Kabir Khan’s Tubelight and Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai. Sajid has three releases lined up in 2017. First, there’s Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon, followed by Sabbir Khan’s 'Baaghi 2' and 'Judwaa 2'. So, they’ve decided to work together in 2018."
Salman's character in the film will remain the same, whereas the other characters of the film will be different. Reportedly, Salman had earlier announced that the leading lady of the film will change. Rumour mills were abuzz that Sonakshi Sinha or Amy Jackson will be roped in opposite Salman. A source close to the leading daily also revealed that since Salman is fond of Kriti Sanon, he might bring her on board for the film.
