After the reports that Iulia Vantur, Salman Khan is all set to croon for Mahesh Manjrekar's Hindi film, 'FU- Friends Unlimited'. Salman has been actively promoting the film on his social media handles and he launched the teaser poster of the film.
Now the actor has gone a step ahead and even lent his voice for one of the tracks in the movie. Salman will be heard crooning to the adaption of the famous yesteryear song,'Panchhi Banoon Udti Phiru' from the movie 'Chori Chori'.
Music director Vishal Mishra revealed that Salman was completely bowled over by the Marathi composition and performed it perfectly. Talking about the song Vishal said, "Salman fell in love with the song and the way it was recreated. I had the privilege to record it in his voice and he rendered it so well that it gave an all-new dimension to the song. It has now turned out to be the highlight of the film."
The modern-day musical, 'FU' will have a total of 22 songs in various languages. Talking about the song, Vishal said, "It is more of a cosmopolitan film and has the feel of a Broadway musical. That is also the reason why we have songs in Hindi, Marathi and English, which is a first for any Marathi film."
Reports also suggest that impressed by Vishal's talent, Salman has taken the budding musician under his wing. When asked about the same, Vishal said, "He appreciates talent and if he spots it in you, he goes out of his way to encourage you. Despite being one of the biggest B’wood stars, he is generous with his compliments."
