Varun Dhawan recently began shooting for ‘Judwaa 2’, with dad David Dhawan. Talking about the sequel at a recent press conference, director David Dhawan, who had directed the original film revealed, “‘Judwaa 2’ is a sequel, and it is not similar to the original ‘Judwaa’ in any manner.”
David further added, “They only thing that we have kept from the original ‘Judwaa’, are the two songs, ‘chalti hai kya nau se bara’ and ‘oonchi hai building’, which are being recreated for the sequel.”
When quizzed if the stars of ‘Judwaa’ will be a part of the sequel, producer Sajid Nadiadwala added, “They (Salman and Karisma) are saying they want to be part of the film. They will not have a specific role or character, but they will come in a special appearance.”
Varun, who will be seen playing a double role for the first time onscreen revealed that he has spoken with Salman, and does not want to disappoint the actor. The actor revealed, “We all have spoken to him it’s a personal thing. His blessings are always there. I don’t want to disappoint him, them (Sajid Khan and David Dhawan) and the audience,”
Sequel to the 1997-hit, ‘Judwaa’, ‘Judwaa 2’ stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles, and is set to release on 29th September 2017.
